Mother Nature

In Alberta, where I am currently, there are massive floods all over the province. Thousands of people are stranded, homeless, and devastated by the destruction that mother nature has wrought upon the land. Some calling it the biggest flood in our provinces history (at least that we remember) if it's true i don't know. I DO know that during these times, when we forget that we are not in charge it is sometimes a shocking reminder that mother nature is the Boss; Especially when she shows us in huge displays of destruction. Here is a video I shot today of the Bow River (it's pretty shaky though!):

Yet on the other hand mother nature rewards us with such astonishing beauty.
This is a breathtaking video of the milky way, I saw it and just had to share it. This shows the contrast between the different ways our planet shows us her great powers.This next video is best when viewed of full screen! This was shot by someone from various points on one mountain.

I am truly in awe and humbled when I see these two very different videos, both showing our planet in a beautiful way. Such things reminds me that no amount of genetics, money, or effort could ever make any one of us as beautiful as mother nature and our planet.
